A journey from the Ethiopian Highlands to the heart of Dubai
The Beginning
Love Grass Restaurant was born from a deep love for teff — the tiny grain that forms the heart and soul of Ethiopian cuisine. Our name pays homage to this remarkable grass that has nourished Ethiopian communities for over 5,000 years.
Every day, our kitchen transforms this ancient grain into fresh, spongy injera — the iconic fermented flatbread that serves as both plate and utensil in Ethiopian dining. It's more than food; it's a tradition of communal eating, where family and friends gather around a shared platter.
Located in Dubai, we bring the authentic flavors of Ethiopia to the UAE. Our recipes are passed down through generations, prepared with the same love and care as a home-cooked Ethiopian meal. From our signature Tibs to the rich, slow-cooked Doro Wot, every dish tells a story of heritage and passion.

Traditional 100% teff injera is naturally gluten-free. At Love Grass Restaurant, our injera is made with authentic teff flour. However, some restaurants mix teff with wheat flour, so always ask. Our teff-based injera is safe for most gluten-sensitive diners.
